A range of greetings cards has gone on sale in Essex libraries and some of the ECL support hubs around the county. The cards were created as part of an activity at the ECL wellbeing hubs as a way of showcasing some of the customers’ creative skills and celebrating their work.

ECL customers were asked to draw a design for a greeting card to be sold in Essex libraries as well as ECL wellbeing hubs as part of a pilot. Lots of ECL customers took part and from their work some of the designs were chosen for an initial pilot.

The winning designs were then printed, packaged and distributed by ECL’s own Work Based Training enterprises. Work Based Training gives adults with learning disabilities the chance to gain knowledge, skills and experience for possible future employment. Work Based Training is just one of the services available to ECL customers. Other services include: Wellbeing Hubs, Reablement, Sensory, Outreach and Equipment Services.

The greetings cards come in five different designs and are available from Chelmsford, Loughton, Harlow and Colchester libraries. You can also find them on sale at some of the ECL wellbeing hubs. Each card costs £1.50.
