We are delighted to be opening this new facility to the public. Sensory development is vitally important for people with learning disabilities. The new equipment will provide ways to engage with people who otherwise might have limited abilities to interact. We believe sensory experience can be a transformative process in helping every person to develop as an individual.

Keir Lynch, Chief Executive, ECL

An open day and cutting of the ribbon ceremony was held to celebrate the occasion.

The sensory room includes hoist facilities, wheelchair access, WiFi speakers, fibre optics, interactive bubble tubes and interactive lights and a voice and sound activated wall panel.

The sensory room is now available to hire at £15 per one hour session and £25 per one hour shared session (two customers).
