Lisa, 22 is a former Columbus College student who now attends Greenacre Garden Centre & Café in Great Baddow twice a week using her personal budget.
After leaving Columbus College, Lisa went to Chelmsford College and studied Life Skills. Since being at Greenacre, Lisa has picked up various skills which she hopes to use when she gets a paid job. With the support of ECL staff, Lisa’s confidence has increased. Lisa said; “Caroline who I work with in the kitchen has made a massive impact on me. She is kind, really patient when explaining what I need to do and how it will benefit me in future.
Outside ECL, I travel on my own using the bus to work as a volunteer at the Salvation Army Charity shop in Maldon. Being independent is important to me; I enjoy walking my dog Fizz, swimming, horse riding and spending time with my friends at home.
