ECL, the Care and Wellbeing Company, are looking for exceptional individuals to strengthen their sensory team.

Our innovative, national award nominated Sensory Team seek a new Sensory Customer Support Administrator to join our fabulous team. We have been commissioned to increase our service provision for one year and so this post is a fixed term contract for one year only.  We hope that funding will be secured to continue the post however we cannot commit to more than one year at this time.

The ECL Sensory Service is a dynamic team of sensory professionals dedicated to improving services for people with sight, hearing or dual sensory loss across the county of Essex.

Since 2009 the team has delivered a growing range of services across Essex.  These include services provided on behalf of Essex County Council including an all-age Coordination centre offering information, advice and guidance, sensory registration, specialist assessments, provision of equipment and rehabilitation and onwards referrals to statutory and voluntary services.

We were national Finalists in the RNIB Pioneer Awards 2017 for the Team of the Year category.  One judge commented “What makes this team stand out is the constant evolution of services to bridge gaps in provision and break down barriers, and its commitment to fully involving the people it aims to serve in all aspects of its work. Over a quarter of the ECL Sensory team are people with sensory impairments.”

New services developed include the Sensory Access Charter Mark, Lived Experience Sensory Awareness Training, Sensory Champions and our Sighted Guide and Communicator Guide Services.  Our objective is to develop a society where people with sensory impairments have the same access to services and businesses as everyone else.

We are looking for a dynamic and professional Sensory Customer Support Administrator to join our established and reputable team to act as first point of contact in receiving, triaging and responding to referrals, enquiries and requests in a range of formats from professionals, customers and the public.  You will also be responsible for ensuring contact and customer data is entered and updated on a variety of data recording systems and the production of reports on the data as required.

Our main sensory office is in Sandon, Chelmsford which will be your main work base.  Our core team of staff are professional, friendly and supportive and a third of us have worked together for over a decade.  That’s says a lot about the value we place on working and growing within a supportive and encouraging team environment.  Come and join us!
