About this hub

Here we offer vocational Work Based Training within our social enterprises which will help build your knowledge, skills and confidence.

Guided by our friendly Support Workers, we'll help you gain valuable Work Based Experience that will give you opportunity for paid employment in the future. We are a Hub which provides ASDAN accreditation, so learning modules receive appropriate reward and recognition.

There are three fully functioning enterprises in the Hub. Two are located within the Hub and one at the Moulsham Lodge Community Trust in Great Baddow.

The services teach skills dedicated to the catering, hospitality and horticulture sector.

Experience with our Work Based Training services will start by meeting one of our Trusted Assessors who will support you to set goals for the future.

We'll work with you on this and help set a programme to get you there. As you work through our programme you'll be gaining new skills in the horticulture and hospitality industry, working towards your hopes for the future.

Customer J had stopped attending his day sessions due to severe anxiety and depression. We organised one to one support to help him settle back in with ECL and to help with his general confidence in life.

Within a few months he was back to his usual self, and had started to really flourish and see things differently. It was evident that he was work ready and with support he attended an eight-week work placement.

This went so well that he then applied for a year's apprenticeship and was successfully placed into employment which he now thrives in.

This amazing turnaround happened in just six months which is testament to his character and to the support he received.
