About this hub

Highfields Wellbeing Hub is a forward thinking day centre for older adults with a range of support needs for people living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, stroke recovery and people living with mobility issues.

Each individual has a tailored support plan and outcomes created to ensure your day at Highfields is what you would like it to be.

You can expect to take part in stimulating and social activities such as chair-fit, arts & crafts, cookery, IT, music and drama clubs, lunch clubs, shopping trips and much more.

You will be allocated a Key Worker who will be your point of contact whenever needed. Your Key Worker will work closely with you during your time spent at Highfields, fully supporting you with any requirements to help make your day enjoyable and fun.

Food and drink is available to purchase at Highfields with a freshly prepared hot meal available each day.

Our approach to your care

Activities at our hub are focused on maintaining independence and improving wellbeing.

We provide the opportunity to take part in a wide range of enjoyable and stimulating social activities; both onsite and out amongst the local community. We recognise that carers need support too.

Our services are tailored to the needs of carers as well as our customers because we know that time away from each other is important.

Our highly skilled staff create a warm, happy and positive atmosphere and are specialists in supporting older adults with learning disabilities, sensory impairments, dementia and Alzheimer’s.

Customer progression

A recent customer at Highfields had a decline with food and nutrition and was referred to us for support in line with the Care Act 2014.

Our staff worked closely with both the customer and their family over a period of time and slowly, each day they attended, the customer gradually increased their intake with more of a variety of both food and drink, and eventually became comfortable asking for extra helpings of tea and biscuits.

The customer really engaged in this process as they were enjoying their time at the centre.

This may sound small, but it was a huge step for the individual customer resulting in a positive outcome and praise from a concerned and now relieved family.

Pricing

Prices will depend on the length of your session(s) and the level of support you need. As an example a full day with one of our services would typically start at around £58. Please note that you will be assessed on the levels of support you need.
