The Walter Boyce Wellbeing Hub supports adults with learning disabilities. Around 45 customers a day attend the centre as well as a number of customers with more profound learning disabilities who attend the specialist unit providing higher levels of care.
The centre aims to increase customers’ confidence, self-esteem and expectations by supporting them to take greater control of their lives. The centre promotes and encourages a strong community presence and customers are supported to regularly access the community.
There are also a wide range of work experience opportunities available to customers with the Book Rest Café in Brentwood Library and Copy Cats 2, a print studio based within the centre itself.
