I started working at Maryland's day centre when I was 16 for an apprenticeship, at first I was very shy and I didn't know a lot about the job as id just come from school.

I started working with ECL in March 2015. I started off as an Apprentice and I completed my apprenticeship in December 2015 and got my level 2 NVQ!

As a youngster I was very uncomfortable around spiders, I don't think I had a phobia so much as having poor eyesight at the time I did not like the way they crept around and seemed to dart soundlessly from view to dark corner quicker than I could say . . . aaaaahhhhhh!

It was exciting and important news when I heard that I / we (ECL) were put forward for a project with the local train operator Greater Anglia to visit a 'train factory' in Switzerland (yes, you heard me) to input to the design of the next generation of trains for Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk.
