On 25th and 26th June, Essex Cares attended the well-established Health + Care exhibition at the Excel Centre, London. For a second year running, we had a promotional stand providing information to health and social care professionals about the services we provide. The event provided a good platform to establish potential partnerships, meet service commissioners and to inform other influential companies within the field about what we do.
On Wednesday 25th Wendy Thomas, Director for Quality and Clinical Governance, Faye Gatenby, Sensory Manager and Terri Sawkins, Sensory Training Facilitator, presented in the Health Care Theatre to an audience of over 100. Their presentation, titled “Offering an integrated solution – Reablement, Equipment and Sensory Services” discussed our approaches and views on delivering customer focused, outcome based solutions tailored to our customer’s needs along with importance of integrating community based services with equipment, Reablement and sensory support.
We had many enquiries about referrals, companies that would like to work with us and many general enquires about all of our services on offer.
Over the two days we held a competition where entrants were against the clock to complete our giant ‘e’ sliding puzzle in the quickest time. The crowds gathered with the fastest time being 1 minute 10 seconds. This brought many different people to our stand, many of which stayed to discuss our products.
The exhibition was a great success and we’re already looking forward to next year’s event.
