Across Essex and West Sussex, there are thousands of people being assisted to live in the safest and most independent way possible by one organisation: Essex Cares. We are so much more than just another social care provider, supplying a truly vast range of services that allow both younger and older adults with learning, physical, sensory and/or mental health needs to lead more fulfilling lives.
We work alongside local authorities and health partners to deliver the services to maximise so many Essex and West Sussex residents' wellbeing. Our flexible and responsive support is provided both within the home and the wider community, in the latter case via day care centres and training sites. With a caring and well-trained workforce of more than 1,000 members of staff, we are able to cater for the requirements of you and/or your loved one at every stage.
You may contact us about our renowned ECL Supported Employment Service, for instance, which gives working age adults with learning disabilities the support that they need to secure paid employment. We also offer a Home Share service that enables time to be enjoyed, and new friends made, in the safe and comfortable environment of a host carer's home. For a day, adults are treated to a two-course home cooked meal, together with various other activities to stimulate them mentally and physically through exercises.
However, Essex Cares also has a strong reputation for the supply of the broadest range of high quality mobility aids and equipment, to support individuals with their daily living skills. In 2013-14 we issued 156,631 items from our 4,000 strong product line to 43,161. Outreach services are also delivered by us that allow for enjoyable time spent with likeminded people, encompassing one-to-one support, access to such facilities as libraries, clubs, appointments, shopping and leisure activities like walking and swimming.
There's so much more to the complete range of services presently offered by Essex Cares. Those discharged from hospital can be referred to our Reablement in Essex and Regaining Independence Service in West Sussex, to regain their independence and confidence at home. Those with sight and/or hearing loss can be assisted in every aspect of daily life by our acclaimed Sensory Service.
Or perhaps you or a loved one would appreciate the support and confidence that can be provided at home by such telecare products as our bed sensors, smoke alarms and medication dispensers? Add our Wellbeing & Activity Centres and Work Based Training to the list, and it's clear that we really have thought of all of the ways in which we can make our customers’ more confident and independent - so why not get in touch with us now for more information?
