Customers' spring into action

As spring is upon us, Cristiano, Craig and Anna are busy planting potatoes in their newly built raised beds they made. They all attend Greenacre Garden Centre in ‪Chelmsford.

Craig said; “I helped with cutting the wood to make the panels for the raised beds and also moved the compost into the beds. I really enjoy what I do here and I have learnt a lot.”

Cristiano, Anna and the rest of the team worked together using power tools such power drills, screwdrivers and hand saws to make the paneland poles.

Val, Senior Training & Employment Support Worker said; “This is part of their training to gain work experience in horticulture and all the associated elements that come with it. These include maintaining plants, growing seeds, using the different equipment we have, making structures to grow our plants and lots more.

The customers' are supported each week by a dedicated team of Training & Employment Support Workers.
