Exciting times for Essex Cares in 2013

< Return to Blog list | Jan 23, 2013

First and foremost I would like to wish everyone a happy new year and I trust you all enjoyed the festive session. The last few months have brought about many changes which make the start of this year extremely exciting for Essex Cares, firstly a new chairman, then a new head office and now a new managing director.   Anthony Jackson was appointed as our new chairman on the 1st December 2012.

He brings with him a lot of business experience having worked in many organisations globally and we already are seeing a strong impression because of his presence. During the month of January Liz Chidgey has been appointed as our new Managing Director. Liz will be joining us in March 2013 after handing over her post as Essex County Council’s Acting Executive Director for Adult Social Care.

To add to all this on 20th December 2012 Essex Cares moved all its corporate services together into our new Head Office based at Victoria House in Chelmsford. The move has amalgamated services into one building making it easier for departments to work closer together. The pace of change continues our teams in West Sussex are soon to move into new offices in Horsham.

The future is bright for Essex Cares as we aim to grow and develop the company in providing new innovative ways of delivering our excellent services throughout Essex, West Sussex and beyond.  I for one am looking forward to this year tremendously.
