West Sussex Reablement Contract goes live

Essex Cares saw its first external contract GO-LIVE on the 1st October 2012. The contract to provide services for West Sussex County Council represents the Local Authority Trading Companies (LATC) first success in winning a contract outside of Essex. This follows the success of the LATC in retaining its Essex Reablement contract following a market tender exercise by Essex County Council.

The West Sussex County Council contract will see over 100 former Council employees transfer to the Essex Cares with the new service set to deliver over 70,000 hours per year of Reablement services from two office bases located in Worthing and Horsham. The contract also signifies the close partnership working developed between the Council and Essex Cares in looking to develop specialist services for people either being discharged from hospital or requiring support in a home environment.
