Join in with Guy Fawkes, ghosts and games at Plough Corner


Staff and customers at Essex Cares’ Plough Corner centre in in Harwich Road, Little Clacton will be celebrating the season of ghosts and Guy Fawkes with a series of events to mark Halloween and Bonfire Night.  The centre’s ‘Build Your Own Guy’ sessions offer fun for all the family over the schools’ half-term week, with daily guy-building sessions running between Monday 28th-Thursday 31st October from 10-2. The judging of the ‘Best Guy’ competition is on Friday 1st November at 2pm.  It costs just £5 to enter, with a prize for the best guy. 

For those that like their fun a little bit spookier, the Plough Corner centre will also be holding a Halloween party from 10.30-2.30 on 31st October.  There will be party games, a special Halloween buffet and prizes for the best costume, so get thinking ghoulish.  Tickets cost £5. 

Plough Corner has been a provider of work-based training in the catering and gardening industries to social care customers with learning disabilities in the Clacton area for over twenty years.  The aim is to help promote independent living.  Since 2009, the centre has been run by Essex Cares, the leading provider of community care services in Essex, and is one of a number of training centres operated by them to help achieve independence for their customers.
