ECL's Equipment Service operates from an extensive warehouse facility in Freebournes Road, Witham. A fleet of 32 vehicles make over 106,000 customer visits a year delivering, installing and advising from a range of over 4,000 stock items.
The site is also home to the company’s call centre, where 12 staff take over 45,000 calls annually both from health partners and direct from the general public accessing our self-funder service. Our assessment technicians can guide customers through a detailed evaluation and recommend a range of suitable aids and/or adaptations that would improve or maintain independence at home. Our range of equipment is diverse and covers items that support: personal care, bathing, safe transfers, accessibility, meal preparation, standing tolerance and balance. Our drivers carry key items on their vans and are frequently able to provide immediate equipment solutions to customers.
The service has built up close relationships with both clinicians and suppliers to ensure that the best product is available at a competitive price in a timeframe that suits the customer. ECL is also focused on ensuring that equipment lifespan is maximised this is achieved by accurate system data, efficient collection procedures, appropriate decontamination, refurbishment, testing and maintenance.
