Essex Cares Ltd. (ECL) are showcasing the talents of adults with learning disabilities this month (January) by exhibiting their wide range of original paintings at Colchester Library.
All artwork has been created by ECL's customers, based at their Work Based Training enterprise, Redwood Creative Design.
Customers at Redwood Creative Design were provided with this opportunity to gain valuable work based experience - producing and their artwork as well as engaging with members of the public at the library.
Keir Lynch, Chief Executive of ECL said:
"We are delighted to have the opportunity to showcase the work of some of our customers at Colchester Library. It's great to be able to recognise our customers' talents and help them gain work based training experience. What is truly special is that you can see how much they love doing it."
Two paintings have already been sold since the start of the exhibition, filling the artists with joy.
Members of the public will be able to enjoy a hot drink whilst they browse the paintings, offered by ECL's Book Rest Café Work Based Training enterprise.
All money raised from the sale of artwork will be invested back into the enterprise to help support the needs of adults with learning disabilities in Colchester.
