Hosted by the Essex Chamber of Commerce, the festival will showcase the variety of the Essex business landscape, celebrating the diversity of talent and highlighting support for inclusive workplaces across the county.

Visit us at stand 10 where we will be demonstrating how we strive to create opportunities for individuals that make a real difference to their independence and quality of life.

Our Inclusive Employment team will be sharing customer success stories and challenging misconceptions around employing people with disabilities.

Reputable employers all over Essex are realising the benefits of offering work opportunities to candidates with learning disabilities. By being an inclusive employer, businesses benefit from:

  • Loyal and reliable members of the workforce
  • Lower sickness levels
  • Lower staff turnover in entry level roles
  • Positive effect on their corporate reputation

Our aim is to encourage more organisations in the Essex business community to be inclusive employers and to create more paid work opportunities for inclusive employment candidates.

Emma Gilson our Inclusive Employment Engagement Lead will be taking part in the Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace panel discussion where she will be sharing her views on the positive impact of inclusive employment on businesses.

Hosted by Etholle George, former BBC radio and television presenter, the discussion will look at the benefits of diversity and inclusion for workforces and overall business success. Emma and her fellow panellists will outline the importance for employers and businesses of making diversity and inclusion a priority, taking a closer look at the organisational responsibilities in today’s working world.
