About us
ECL Brentwood ensures that your support needs are met in a personalised and flexible way so that you can live as independently as possible in your local community. We're here to help you have the choice and control to enjoy living life the way you choose.
Programmes are tailored to your individual needs and personal goals. Our Trusted Assessors will help you to develop your own plan and our care team will support you step by step throughout the journey to follow that plan and reach your goals.
To complement our community based activities we will create you a centre based programme to help you reach your goals. We offer a wide range of activities designed to build your confidence, promote greater independence, and develop your social skills.
Activities are fun while teaching valuable life skills, for example, a cooking session is used to teach skills such as maths (weighing and measuring), literacy (reading recipes and packaging), IT (researching recipes and creating shopping lists) and budgeting. Working alongside your peers to plan the menu, discuss healthy options, prepare the meal, and eat together develops your social skills and teamwork.
We offer ASDAN courses to provide a structure for learning independent living skills and the opportunity to gain recognised qualifications.
We also work with external education providers such as ACL who deliver various courses including maths, english and 'find your voice' within our centre.
We provide skilled and caring support to customers with a wide range of abilities and needs. We can support individuals with more profound and multiple learning disabilities, complex health needs, and wheelchair users, to those with milder learning disabilities, and autism.
We can provide support on a 2:1, 1:1 and 1:4 ratio in line with your needs and your care plan.
The team receive specialist training in the following:
- Dysphagia
- Autism
- Mental health
- Learning disabilities
- Communication difficulties
- Crisis Prevention and Intervention
- Active Support
- Nebuliser Trained
- Diabetes Awareness
- Epilepsy with Buccal medication
- Positive Behaviour Support
We have access to ECL's in-house clinical team for expert advice and guidance with speech and language, physio, occupational therapy and positive behaviour support.
For those that have honed their skills with us and feel ready for employment we can link you up with our Inclusive Employment team to help get you ready to work.
At ECL we work with you to identify your goals and put together a tailored plan unique to you. One of our team will assess the level of support you need, and prices will be based on the recommendations, along with how many sessions you would like to attend.
