ECL is committed to making sure that everyone – customer or colleague – has the best possible experience… I would thoroughly recommend them.

For 64-year-old Kim, ECL has proved to be the ideal match. A Trusted Assessor with the business since July 2023, she’s able to draw on the extensive experience she’s gleaned from previous care jobs, supported by a team of established, empathetic managers.

Kim says, “this job fits me perfectly. Years of working in the healthcare sector have helped me to develop my knowledge of all aspects of care, including the reablement process for customers being discharged from hospital to recover at home. Over the course of nearly two decades, I’ve been a community carer, a healthcare assistant in a hospital, and even spent time in a veterinary practice overseas putting my language skills to good use. I’ve done it all, and that’s something to be celebrated!”

Having made the decision to leave her role as a support worker within a supported living scheme, Kim began scouring the internet looking for new care jobs. She was impressed by the feel of ECL and those good vibes continued throughout the application and interview process. Her ability and enthusiasm shone through, and she was offered the role shortly after.

Since joining the team, Kim has received comprehensive training and has taken to being a Trusted Assessor like a duck to water.

“I suppose I’m considered an older member of staff, but I’ve never felt any different to anyone else. I’m treated with respect, dignity, and my needs have always been considered. It’s great to have found an organisation which seems to really understand the huge benefits that come with employing skilful, mature people like me,” says Kim.

She says, “I’m enjoying this new challenge and feel completely at home. In just a few short months, I’ve been struck by how professional and diligent everyone is and how dedicated they all are to delivering the best care. ECL is committed to making sure that everyone – customer or colleague – has the best possible experience. I would thoroughly recommend them.”
