Accredited and vocational training

Skills development plays a crucial role in both the Inclusive Employment and Day Services pathways and is available to all customers.

If you are hoping to achieve employment, then vocational training and employability skills will be valuable. While in our Day Services, we are able to offer training that focuses on independent living skills.

We can help you to gain work experience either within ECL, or with our partner organisations, to equip you with the practical skills you need to secure your ideal job.

As an accredited ASDAN training provider, ECL offers nationally recognised qualifications and can cater to individuals at all levels of learning from Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), to Severe and Moderate Learning Disabilities (SLD and MLD).

ASDAN provides flexible and engaging programmes and qualifications, enabling customers to develop skills for learning, work and life.

ASDAN qualifications support learners' aspirations from being able to live as independently as possible through to developing the skills to gain employment. They are approved and regulated in England (Ofqual), Wales (Qualifications Wales) and Northern Ireland (CCEA) and are supported by high quality resources.

ASDAN's SEND courses support the achievement of the four preparing for adulthood outcomes;

  • Employment
  • Independent Living
  • Friends, Relationships and Community
  • Health and Wellbeing

Following an ASDAN course not only supports customers to achieve greater independence and make progress towards their goals but enhances motivation and self-esteem. Customers work through the workbooks at their own pace, with the support of our trained staff and receive certificates upon completion.
